Evolution question

The question tells me that the questioner's understanding is to find out, IF the person interviewed believes in evolution. If the answer is no, he or she can dismiss the subject, depending on the purpose of the research. The perception is that apparently there are people that do not believe in evolution and to wheat out the ones that do from the ones that don't perhaps. A misconception might be that even though people may not believe in evolution in an anthropological sense, they may still believe in it from a human standpoint. Considering that people who don't believe into the evolution due to religious believes that God created all on earth, they may still believe in other forms of evolution after the divine creation. So they question itself is not specific enough in my (very humble) opinion.

A better way to ask this question may be. Do you believe in the evolution process that involves the evolution of mankind from primates, Neanderthals and other life forms? This way I would narrow down my answers to the question I want answered.  The question as it stands may give me an answer regarding the evolution of religions brands, such as orthodox Jews vs non-orthodox Jews or Christians evolving into Protestants and Catholics.
  • What does the question tell you about the questioner's understanding, perceptions and possible misconceptions of evolutionary theory?
  • What is a better way to phrase this question and why is it better?
